The Backstory
Here is a small backstory about me.
For a few years after graduating from college, I wanted nothing more than to become a writer. Typical to the line of being a starving artist, I worked all sorts of jobs—customer service, administration, editorial—until I came to a point of realization that my journey could not be paved with financial hardship for the possible chance of financial stability through my writing (nor was that what I wanted since I did not want to make my passion a job).
I needed to take financial freedom seriously. I knew that a big change was needed, so I bought a triplex with an FHA loan, which was a huge force of responsibility and growth in the beginning but came to be a sound investment. Then, I moved to have side hustles (aka, PrinceUFOCatchers + PrinceItineraries, which were both named after my cat Prince) in order to buy more real estate while continuing to work on the side + pursue my writing.
This led me to where I am today—passionate about literature and writing, of course, but also about the importance of financial literacy and having a vision for the future. It is my utmost belief that you, me, or anyone can have it all with a little bit of change of heart and mindset, as well as the perseverance to continue on a journey that we believe is to be right. And remember, if it isn’t difficult enough, you’re probably on the wrong path.
